Thirty four years in commercial and residential design work has established Montana Rugs & Furniture as a leader in presenting flat weave, hand spun wool rugs to the discriminating customer.
A long standing creative collaboration with the Zapotec indians of Oaxaca, Mexico has resulted in a unique original hand-crafted product.
We at Montana Rugs & Furniture have created original designs drawing inspiration from indigenous design motif of the Americas. We have also faithfully reproduced the classic 19th century Navajo designs in their colors as well as contemporary color ways.
In honoring the Zapotec Weaving tradition we have created an array of beautiful rugs and wall hangings using the ancient Zapotec designs with contemporary colors.

Montana Rugs & Furniture is proud to share our collection of gorgeous churro wool and unique oriental rugs with you.  All of the Navajo inspired patterns and custom creations can be special ordered in any size, and shipped to you or your client.  We employ 70 Native South American weavers who create our patterns using the wool from the descendents of the churro sheep brought to the Americas by Spanish missionaries.  The sheep have never been cross bred and therefore produce incredibly soft and durable wool.    This beautiful wool produces a natural abrash (variation in color) which makes our rugs distinctive.
